A man has admitted to jointly possessing a shotgun with intent to cause fear of violence, and unlawful wounding after a 15-year-old boy was wounded in Cardiff.

Ashley Corbin, 20, from Bristol, also pleaded not guilty to jointly possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, possessing a loaded shotgun in a public place and wounding with intent, at Cardiff Crown Court.

It follows an incident on 7 June in Clos Y Fynnon, Pontprennau, Cardiff, where a 15-year-old boy was shot.

The boy was taken to hospital but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A two-week trial has been set for 8 December 2025 over the three charges Corbin pleaded not guilty to.

A 17-year-old from Bristol, who can't be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty last month to offences related to the same incident.
