Detectives investigating the discovery of human remains in a field say they have "established the identity" and will now work to contact relatives.
Norfolk Police was called to Lynn Road in Walton Highway, near Wisbech, on 18 May, following the discovery of the bones by a member of the public.
Detailed forensic examination and analysis have been carried out on the remains and "inquiries are ongoing to locate the next of kin," the force said.
The death was being treated as unexplained, but was not thought to be suspicious.
The force confirmed the remains did not belong to missing persons Terry McSpadden or Maris Ile.
Police said a file would now be prepared for the coroner.
