Police have appealed for information after a teenage girl was reportedly approached by a stranger near a school in Leicestershire.
Leicestershire Police said it was reported a girl had been "followed" in Glenfield Frith Drive, Glenfield, at about 15:40 GMT on Wednesday.
The incident prompted nearby The Hall School in Glenfield to issue a warning to parents on Thursday.
The alert, seen by the BBC, said a person wearing "a full face mask or balaclava" had been approaching children "around numerous primary schools" and "offering them sweets".
A spokesperson for The Hall School said: "We are taking the matter extremely seriously and have proactively taken action to ensure that our parents and other local schools are made aware and are vigilant to any suspicious activity."
Officers from the Hinckley and Blaby policing team asked anyone with information to make contact.
