Police officer in court after anti-corruption probe
PC Choni Kenny faces charges of misconduct and assisting a criminal offence

A police officer is due to appear in court over allegations she gained access to police intelligence and passed the information to members of the public
PC Choni Kenny of Greater Manchester Police is also alleged to have "overlooked" crimes while on duty between April 2021 and June 2023.
She is due to appear before Liverpool Magistrates Court on Friday charged with misconduct in public office and assisting a criminal offence.
It comes after an anti-corruption investigation directed by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
Suspension
PC Kenny, who worked in the City of Manchester district, was arrested on 21 June 2023 and has since been suspended from duty.
Officers working for an anti-corruption unit in Greater Manchester Police investigated her case under the IOPC's direction and control, a spokesman for the watchdog said.
Evidence was then passed to the Crown Prosecution Service who authorised the charges.
