The final day of racing in the 2025 Classic TT has been curtailed by further passing showers.

Racing got under way on the Isle of Man's 37.7-mile (61km) Mountain Course after a two-hour delay to allow roads to dry out following overnight rain.

Although the Historic Senior and Historic Junior contests were run over reduced laps, clerk of the course Gary Thompson cancelled the Senior Classic TT and a planned Joey Dunlop tribute lap after further rain.

Organisers earlier confirmed that the evening contingency session between 18:00 and 21:00 would not be used because of the expected return of the rain.

Weather disruption to the race programme has already seen the Formula One race scrapped altogether, with other races truncated.

However, racing did get under way on Wednesday evening with Michael Dunlop taking victory in the Lightweight Classic TT.

This year has seen the reintroduction of the Classic TT brand to the August racing schedule in a bid to boost visitor numbers to the island.

The brand was used for classic races between 2013 and 2019, but the classes had reverted to being run under the Manx Grand Prix banner when road racing events returned following the coronavirus pandemic.

The reintroduced Classic TT has been run in parallel with the Manx Grand Prix, which sees racing on modern machines.

The Supertwin and Supersport races under that banner were completed on Saturday, with the Junior and Senior classes held on Monday.
