Six-mile tailback after multi-vehicle crash on M5

A three-car crash has caused delays of up to an hour on the M5.

It happened on the southbound carriageway between the M42 exit and Bromsgrove at 07:20 BST, West Mercia Police said.

A man, woman and child were assessed by paramedics, but none required further treatment, according to West Midlands Ambulance Service.

National Highways reported six miles of congestion when opening the lanes at 11:30 BST.

Posting on X, it warned drivers: "There are still residual delays of 60 minutes so please allow extra journey time."
