A charity has launched a bilingual website in English and Portuguese to help people find solutions to disputes amicably.

Family Mediation Jersey said the website will help English and Portuguese-speaking families facing divorce, separation and other disputes access mediation services.

The charity has said it recognises the diverse linguistic community on the island and is training a bilingual mediator to support families using its confidential service .

Manager Elaine Feltham said the work had been enabled by an Association of Jersey Charities grant and it had taken nearly two years to turn into reality.
