Man charged over stabbing on Edinburgh street

A man has been charged after another man was stabbed on a street in Edinburgh.
The 47-year-old was attacked in the London Road area of Abbeyhill at about 06:00.
The Scottish Ambulance Service sent a critical care unit to the scene. The man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
Police later confirmed a 48-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Officers are carrying out inquiries in the area and have appealed to anyone with any information to come forward, external.
