A third arrest has been made after a 13-year-old boy was stabbed to death at his home on Thursday.

The boy died after being attacked on Lovett Avenue, Oldbury, at about 16:00 BST.

A man in his 40s was arrested on Monday on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains in custody.

West Midlands Police continued to appeal for witnesses who were on Lovett Avenue and the surrounding roads from 15:30 onwards on Thursday.

The force added that two teenagers who were arrested on suspicion of murder remained in custody.

Dozens of bunches of flowers, candles and teddies were laid outside the home in tribute to the teenager, who has not yet been named.

Police said the boy's family were "being supported by officers at this tragic time".

An online portal was set up to allow people to send in information, pictures or video directly to investigating officers, the force added.
