Man, 78, arrested after death of woman

A 78-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was discovered at a house in Rugby.
Police were called to a property on Aqua Place at 09:39 BST on Tuesday, to find the body of a woman in her 70s.
The suspect, from Rugby, was arrested at the scene, police said, adding he was in hospital being treated for injuries.
Det Ch Insp Helen Waite, from Warwickshire Police's major investigation unit, said: "This is a tragic incident, and we have launched an investigation to establish what has happened.
"The woman’s family has been informed and they are being supported by specially trained officers.
"At this time, we believe the incident was contained to the property and there was no risk to the wider public."
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called by the police to Aqua Place, Rugby to reports of a medical emergency.
"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a critical care car from The Air Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
"Sadly, one woman was confirmed dead at a property.
"A man was treated for serious injuries by the team of ambulance staff before being conveyed to hospital for further emergency care."
