A pedestrian has died following a crash, police have said.

Officers were called to Under Lane, Harcombe, near Sidmouth, at about 15:10 GMT on Monday following an incident which involved a black Range Rover, said Devon and Cornwall Police.

A 75-year-old local man was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died, police said. His next of kin have been informed.

Police have asked for witnesses to get in contact.
