Leaders try to reassure Asian markets

The G20 has said central banks are ready to provide liquidity if major banks needed large amounts of money, but will this be enough to re-assure the markets?

Over the last two days the Dow Jones fell 500 points and closed almost 400 points or 3.5% lower and in London the FTSE was down nearly 5% - the biggest one day fall in nearly two years.

Arjuna Mahendran, Chief Asia Strategist at HSBC Private Bank, said he believed the sell off in the Asian markets may continue for a few weeks to come.
