Will Gulf states stock up on arms?

With European and US defence budgets being cut, companies are looking to the Middle East, where governments are spending big time.

The region spent a total of $111bn on military procurement last year with Saudi the biggest spender.

But the UAE is the biggest arms importer in the region.

With heightened tensions over Iran, and othe Arab uprising shaking up the region's political map, is there more of an impetus than ever for Gulf states to protect themselves? Katy Watson reports.
