China, India seek closer trade ties

China's new leader Premier Li Keqiang has chosen his giant Asian neighbour India as the first destination on his first foreign tour.

China and India are the world's most populous countries, with well over a billion people each, and their economies are closely linked.

And yet the relationship is far from smooth. Earlier this month troops from the two countries were involved in a skirmish along their northern border.
