Isle of Man basking shark research carried out
Scientists on the Isle of Man are conducting research into the movements of basking sharks, which are spotted every summer off the Manx coast.
Ten sharks will be tagged this summer to help create a series of profiles.
The tags are designed to reveal where the sharks travel to during the winter and to what depths they can swim.
Graham Hall, from Manx Basking Watch, said: "We are hoping to learn - are they a family and are they particular to the waters of the Isle of Man?"
