UK leaving EU 'a disaster' for Europe says Enrico Letta

Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta has said it would be a "disaster" for Europe if the UK were to leave the European Union.

Speaking to the BBC's Gavin Hewitt, he said that leaving the EU would be a negative step for the UK, adding that he thought Britain could win back some significant powers.

Mr Letta also described tackling Italy's youth unemployment problem as "the nightmare" of his job.
