Isle of Man time lapse of sky shows 'star gazing centre'
The Isle of Man has the highest concentration 'dark sky' sites in the British Isles and a local photographer has captured many of them in a time lapse video.
The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) recently identified a further 19 Manx Dark Sky Discovery Sites, in addition to the seven already credited.
Glenn Whorrall said: "It took me about 10 months to make the video, it was a long but fascinating project."
Howard Parkin, of the Isle of Man Astronomical Society, said the lack of light pollution had been key to achieving the international status.
