Many people across Africa have contributed to pension schemes for several years to provide the assurance of comfort when their working life is over.

But it is common for elderly people to face problems accessing their pension fund when the time finally comes for them to use it.

Delegates at a conference taking place in Nigeria's capital, Abuja, are discussing way to improve the way pension schemes operate in different parts of the continent.
