Tractor ploughs into 600-year-old bridge

The moment a tractor ploughed into an ancient bridge in Warwickshire has been captured on CCTV.

The footage was on a system belonging to Alan and Sally Woodcock, a local couple.

"That vehicle was trapped on the bridge and there was a gentleman just wandering around, scratching his head, wondering what on earth he'd done," said Mr Woodcock.

The bridge in Bidford-on-Avon has been closed to traffic since the accident last Tuesday, with diversions via Welford-on-Avon.
