Prince William 'told off' by Battle of Britain veteran

The Duke of Cambridge was jokingly "told off" by a Battle of Britain veteran after taking to the skies to mark its 75th anniversary.

He was visiting RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire which is marking the 100th anniversary of 29 Squadron.

Before boarding a Chipmunk training aircraft, Prince William spent time time with World War Two RAF veterans.

Ken Wilkinson, who was one of the Battle of Britain pilots famously dubbed the "few" by wartime leader Winston Churchill, said he was "telling off" the prince for flying "choppers" instead of "proper aeroplanes".
