Chancellor George Osborne 'cautiously optimistic'

Chancellor George Osborne has said he is "cautiously optimistic" about UK economic growth figures.

Mr Osborne said that the government would "stick to its course" of debt reduction to bring "balance" to the economy.

The UK economy grew by a faster-than-expected 1.1% in the second quarter of the year, according to official data.
