Euro rising in value amid concerns for US economy

The comeback of the euro has been one of the stories of the summer.

Following the Greek debt crisis the value of the currency, used in 16 European countries plummeted. By the middle of June it had lost nearly 20% of its value against the dollar compared to the start of 2010.

However the tide has turned and the Euro is showing signs of strength, while the US economy appears to have wilted.

Michelle Fleury in New York and Ben Shore in Brussels explain the causes behind the turnaround.
