Gold is back in fashion with traders predicting the price of the precious metal will hit a record high again this week as investors look for safe havens.

Weak news about the US economy has fuelled the trend.

Gold often goes in the opposite direction to the US dollar and the greenback is trading at a five-week low against the euro. Brian Milligan reports.
