India car market 'booming'

India has one of the world's fastest growing car markets and September is traditionally the best time of year to buy a car in India because dealerships keep prices low during the festival season.

However, this year, dealers are not offering their usual discounts because rising raw material prices and strong demand have led the auto makers to raise their prices.

Nonetheless some companies had record sales in September.
