Asia sales boost LVMH profit

LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world's largest luxury-goods maker, said third-quarter sales rose 24%.

The group which includes brands like TAG Heuer and Fendi reported revenue increased to 5.11bn euros ($7.2 billion) from 4.14bn euros a year earlier.

Miya Knights from Retail Technology says demand for luxury goods is increasing as wealthy Asian shoppers splurge on timepieces and handbags.
