Pensions to be offered by all UK businesses from 2012

All UK businesses, regardless of size, will have to offer workers a pension from 2012, the government has agreed.

Employers will have to offer a company option or enrol their staff in the new National Employment Savings Trust (Nest).

The move will give up to eight million people tha chance to save in a pension scheme for the first time.
