Vodafone reveals Japan withdrawal

Vodafone has raised its full-year profit outlook. Over the last six months it saw a fall in revenue in Europe, but an increase in revenue in emerging markets such as Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

The mobile phone giant also announced it is selling its interests in the Japanese telecoms company Softbank which will raise $5bn.
