Ireland resists pressure over EU bail-out

Finance ministers in Brussels are pledging to do whatever is necessary to ensure the stability of the currency as the debt crisis deepens.

After hours of talks, the Irish government has agreed to intensify negotiations over what European and International Monetary Fund support might be available, if needed.
