Mini plan return to world rally

It was 47 years ago that a British car manufacturer stunned the motorsport world by taking victory in the prestigious Monte Carlo rally. The car was a mini, and that victory put the brand on the map, helping to turn it into a cult classic, one of the biggest names in British motoring history.

These days the brand is owned by German manufacturer BMW - although the modern version is still built in Oxfordshire, and the company remains proud of its distinctly British heritage. And now, its planning a return to rallying, taking on the best in the world once again.
