Saudi Arabia plans home-grown car industry

Events in Tunisia and Egypt have highlighted the Middle East's need to create jobs for its young population, but there are few industries ready to absorb this growing workforce and reduce youth unemployment.

Saudi Arabia wants to address the issue by increasing the size of its manufacturing sector.

The plan is to grow, from scratch, an entirely home-sourced automotive industry, starting with the Ghazal.

Designed and made entirely in the Kingdom, the 4x4 is a first for the region.
