Youth unemployment: Are jobs out there?
UK unemployment rose by 44,000 to almost 2.5 million in the three months to the end of December, with youth unemployment reaching a record high.
The unemployment rate is now 7.9% with youth unemployment running at 20.5%, but on Thursday the Work and Pensions Secretary, Iain Duncan Smith, insisted jobs were available.
BBC Breakfast spoke to Katharine Horler, from the National Connexions Network, and headhunter John Purcell to find if there are opportunities out there for young people.
