BA parent firm IAG posts 21m euro profit

British Airways and Iberia which joined together last month as the International Consolidated Airlines Group have released their first set of financial results.

The combined figures for the final quarter of last year, show a return to profit after a loss for the same period in 2009.

But the events in the Middle East - and the huge jump in the price of oil - will no doubt loom large in the coming months.
