New fathers can take 26 weeks off work
New rules mean parents can share childcare during a baby's first year, by each taking six months off work.
Additional paternity leave will allow fathers to spend up to 26 weeks' at home, on top of the existing two weeks.
The Federation of Small Businesses says it will add to the burden on small firms.
