Who will the NYSE sell itself to?

As exchanges around the world continue to get bigger, NYSE Euronext - the company that owns the New York Stock Exchange - must decide whether to sell itself to the Germans or to its home town rival.

The NYSE's board of directors plans to meet before April 14th to consider an unsolicited offer from Nasdaq and the Intercontinental Exchange.

It has also received a takeover bid from the owners of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
