Japan plunged back into recession

Japan's devastating earthquake and tsunami have pushed the country back into recession.

In the first three months of 2011 the economy shrank by 0.9% following a massive drop in exports and consumer spending.

However, experts think the economy will get a boost once re-building in the devastated north-east of the country gathers pace.
