Lagarde: It's not all doom and gloom for global economy

Christine Lagarde has said it is not "all doom and gloom" for the global economy as emerging markets and low income-countries are showing "quite a bit of growth".

During a BBC debate, the head of the International Monetary Fund said developing nations had fared better than advanced economies during the recession - with millions lifted out of poverty in recent years.

She spoke of a need to restructure economies and to reform the financial sector, but said there was "clearly a path forward".
