Technology boosts Bangladesh migrant worker job search
The Bangladeshi government has introduced a new online system to make it easier for job seekers to seek out employment abroad. The large migrant workforce that leaves the country every year can now register online.
Any worker looking to work in a foreign country can now put his or her personal information on a government website, including curriculum vitae, national ID number, qualifications and passport number.
The government says foreign employers can view this directly, cutting out middlemen, who are sometimes accused of malpractice.
