Indian government tries to save Kingfisher

In India, government ministers are trying to broker a deal with the banks to help cash-strapped carrier Kingfisher Airlines.

Shares in the airline slumped 18% to a record low as it continued to cancel flights.

There are also reports that leasing companies are planning to seize their planes.
