UK job loss warnings continue

A new survey suggests that Britain faces a "slow and painful" loss of jobs as the employment situation is set to deteriorate in the final quarter of this year.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development questioned more than 1000 employers, and found that while fewer firms were planning to make redundancies or re-locate abroad, many were putting off decisions on hiring staff.
