Crucial week for Greece as inspectors arrive in Athens

It is the start of a pivotal week for Greece, with international inspectors in Athens to investigate whether the country is sticking to its austerity programme.

But the country hopes to overcome an even bigger hurdle - it needs to agree on the size of losses that banks and other bond holders who are owed money by the Greek government are willing accept.

Talks on this tricky issue stalled before the weekend raising concerns that Greece is moving ever closer to defaulting on its debts.
