Kodak: 'As far as cameras go, it's done'

Eastman Kodak, the company that invented the handheld camera and was famous for its high-quality film, has filed for bankruptcy protection.

Despite making the first digital camera, back in the 1970s, the 133-year-old firm has struggled to keep up with competitors in adapting to the digital era.

ZD Net UK editor Rupert Goodwins told the BBC it was not the end of the company, but "as far as cameras go, it's done."
