Former RBS boss Fred Goodwin loses knighthood

Former Royal Bank of Scotland chief executive Sir Fred Goodwin, heavily criticised over the bank's near collapse, has lost his knighthood.

He has had his title cancelled and annulled by the Queen, following advice provided by Whitehall officials.
