Does Groupon make money?

The online deals company Groupon is due to post its first financial results since becoming a publicly traded firm.

They will be closely analysed, with critics arguing Groupon's business model is not sustainable, having seen the firm's stellar growth slow in recent months.

However the share price has been boosted by Facebook's IPO.
