'We need a cap on charity shops', says retailer

Retail sales rose 0.9% in January compared with December, according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The figure was much stronger than forecast as many economists had expected sales volumes to fall.

But some retailers say the latest figures hide deeper problems.

The BBC's Stephanie McGovern spoke to a shop owner in Rochdale who says there needs to be a cap on the number of charity shops and pawnbrokers on the high street.
