UAE looks to China to lure visitors

Last year the United Arab Emirates attracted some nine million holidaymakers.

Visitors were drawn by the beaches and the luxury hotels, and by its more than seventy shopping malls.

And it has got plans to boost that number to fifteen million over the next eight years.

A decision by the Chinese government to relax travel restrictions on trips to the UAE means Chinese tourists could help it reach that target.

Simon Atkinson reports.
