Game Group needs new strategy, says games industry body

The investment group, Opcapita, is to announce it is buying a large part of the troubled Game Group out of administration, the BBC understands.

The deal will keep open 333 stores and save 3,100 jobs.

Andy Payne, from the Association for UK Interactive Entertainment, said it looked like a "fantastic opportunity" for Game.

He said Game needed to come back with the right strategy and needed to look at models for online as well as packaged goods.
