Workers return as steelworks furnace is relit

The blast furnace at the former Corus steelworks in Teesside will be relit on Sunday, more than two years after production stopped.

Thai-based owners SSI have taken on more than 1,000 workers to cope with the restarting of the steel-making process, with more jobs expected to be created.
