WPP's Sir Martin Sorrell reports strong sales growth

The world's biggest advertising group, WPP, has reported a 7.6% rise in first quarter sales to £2.4bn.

The company has also become a little more optimistic about the prospects for the year, raising its sales forecast from around 4% to over 4%.

WPP chief executive, Sir Martin Sorrell, told the BBC that emerging markets like Latin America and the Asia Pacific continued to deliver strong growth.
