Asean economies continue growth
The World Economic Forum begins in Bangkok this week, with the focus on East Asia's economies.
The region, under the grouping of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, continues to grow and may even help soften a global slowdown.
Despite Europe's austerity measures, and slowing growth in the US and China, Asean still expects to see solid expansion this year.
As the BBC's Sharanjit Leyl reports, a global slowdown may hamper Asean exports, but spending by domestic consumers should offset any difficulties.
