Bob Diamond: 'I didn't believe it was a rate instruction'

Former Barclays chief executive Bob Diamond has reiterated that he did not view his conversation with the Bank of England's deputy governor, Paul Tucker, as an instruction to change rates submissions.

Mr Diamond resigned as Barclays chief executive on Tuesday in the wake of the inter-bank interest rate-fixing scandal.
